A New Friend in My Head….
June Ambrose just launched her highly anticipated reality show, Styled by June, this past Monday. She’s definitely on my Top 5 list of people to have Closet Envy over!
The show was amazing! June’s take on fashion and lifestyle is refreshing and fun. She styles her clients with a niche approach by not just updating their wardrobe but by connecting on a personal level and genuinely caring about their “real” lives.
I love to see a Sister doing her thing! She’s a mogul in her own right and now an official ”friend in my head”!
Kudos to June Ambrose for owning her “Juniverse” and being aTadBitEdgy…!!

Showing a little skin…
It’s a warm, almost 80 degree day in NYC…in March?! Crazy, yes I know but I’m not complaining…
I even got to show a little skin…here’s today’s footwear. I’ve been experimenting with mixing prints…ASOS Neon Sheer Tee and Dolce Vita Emery Platform Sandal. I LOVE that anything goes!

Showtime…
I’ve scratched an item off my hypothetical ‘Bucket List’. Come to think of it…I don’t think I ever actually made a Bucket List but if I did visiting the Apollo theater in Harlem, NYC would definitely be on it.
I’ve always LOVED Amateur Night at the Apollo. I watched it every Saturday night with my sister and brother.
Being there took me back to my childhood of clapping and more than often booing at terrible singers or dancers. They even had a theater mascot, San Man, who would dance while sweeping the terrible performers off the stage with his broom – yes, I mean that literally…he used a broom…LOL.
Great memories and I’m happy I made new memories last night with new friends.

Can I just say that I love me some Obama’s…Barack and Michelle (also friends in my head! ha).
What first lady wears a leather blazer and sneakers on a national tv show? Michelle does. She’s been shaking up the White House + the country with her style. LOVE + LOVE + LOVE her!
She was recently on the “Ellen” show and showed off her dancing skills! I know that’s right, first lady!
I need another term from Mr.President…sigh…I can’t picture any other presidential family having so much swag!

Shoes Under a Desk…
Just had a great meeting with a fab + edgy + smart + woman…she was more than generous with her time, which is unheard of in my ”industry”. This sista (oh…I call ALL woman “sistas”)…so yes, this sista gave me such great advice. Entrepreneurial advice. She didn’t give me all the answers but I have great food for thought… Much appreciated mystery woman (sorry, I won’t share her name).
Having a real life, relatable case study that is talking to me vs. me reading some boring document…is empowering and aTadBitEdgy…
I left feeling like “Of course you can do anything aTBE…! Just start. No more delays. No more excuses. Just start.”
I guess I didn’t quite explain…but I’m at a cross roads in my life…figuring out the next steps and how to get there. I know it sounds scary but I’m ready…
Can’t work with my feet under a desk forever…especially since I have tons of cool shoes that I want the world to see!

Recently Ri-Ri (my nick name for Rihanna…she’s my friend in my head…) commissioned British artist, Claire Milner, to create a tribute to one of our greatest icons…Marilyn Monroe…August 2012 marks the 50th anniversary of her passing…
The piece is made of 65,000 Swarovski crystals + weighs 182 pounds + took four months to complete + cost $160,000
I know that’s right Ri-Ri! This is why aTBE ♥’s you! I definitely need to check out her other art investments…I’ll let you know what I find…

My Inner Elvis
It’s a gorgeous bright warm day in NYC…and I’m loving it. Took a stroll on my lunch hour and channeled my inner Elvis. Check out my shades.
Aren’t they fab?!
Thank you Hugo Boss for thinking out of the box…These shades are a orange-ish brushed metal frame with green tint lens…
Oh, and I didn’t mention that they are men’s eyewear…
